the good fight
i don’t care who you are or where you're from
we all have something stand in our way we must overcome
you can fall to your knees; you can beg you can plead
even if it's your fate to succeed; you'll still have to cry, have to sweat, have to bleed
to win
it's up to you; but you will have to choose to fight
these voices in our heads that say:
just stay down don’t get up, haven’t you had enough?
all this pain and this suffering has gotten you nothing!
i draw my sword and i move forward with guns a blazing, cannons roaring
i'm surrounded, got me cornered; battle lost but not the war
on that day how glorious it will be standing there victorious
for now the wounds are deep but time will heal them
push through the pain till i can't feel them
even under the darkest sky behind the cloud the sun is shining
so i fall and i'll fall again
i fall short everyday i'm not perfect, i don’t pretend to be
but i get back on my feet; taste is so bitter sweet
i don't care about how i'm perceived; because as long as i breathe i will always believe
i can win
it's up to you; but you will have to choose to fight
these voices in our heads that say:
just stay down don’t get up, haven’t you had enough?
all this pain and this suffering has gotten you nothing!
i draw my sword and i move forward with guns a blazing cannons roaring
i'm surrounded, got me cornered; battle lost but not the war
on that day how glorious it will be standing there victorious
for now the wounds are deep but time will heal them
push the pain till i can't feel them
even the darkest depths can't hide the faintest glow of one small light
